I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Bit by bit, my family started moving out west to the San Francisco Bay Area, and I finally gave in. Now, I've been out here for 5 years, and I cannot imagine living anywhere else. It's just too wonderful here!

Music is my life, and the piano is my instrument. Whether teaching music, composing music, performing or even writing about it, music is not so much what I do, as who I am.

I started out as an unstoppable little piano prodigy, bouncing off the walls and always in front of a piano. Gradually, I developed into a mature, well-rounded musician, thanks largely to the Oberlin Conservatory and the Juilliard School, where I had the pleasure and privilege of working with some of the greatest musicians in the world.

For the past 12 years, I have enjoyed a life and career in music spread over a wide array of activities, including teaching, choral accompanying, composition, electronic music production, as well as some transcription and arrangement.

Please enjoy these performance samples, recorded in concert.
